What are Christian Life Communities?
On our journey of faith we need the company of each other – the friendship that develops not only in our small groups but also through our regional, national, and worldwide community.
Christian Life Community (CLC) is a group of people who meet together regularly to help each other know Christ better and to find what He is asking of us in our daily lives.
We focus on the three pillars of Spirituality, Community, and Mission. Select an area below to learn more.
Living Prayer
We try to pray every day, learning to meditate prayerfully on the Gospels and to reflect on God’s presence and action in our lives.
We grow in our pathway to God, letting our experiences of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius transform our relationships with ourselves, one another, and the whole of creation.
We seek to deepen awareness of what draws us toward or away from God so that we can grow in greater freedom, and respond more fully to God’s dream for our lives.
Loving Community
Through our local community, we help each other grow in a personal relationship with Christ. This relationship is supported by the national and world CLC community, and grounded in the greater Body of Christ through the Church.
This experience challenges us to root our relationships in charity and justice, striving to witness to the Kingdom of God in our daily living.
Generous Response
Mission is not primarily an activity, but focusing energy and passion on living as Christ. It is expressed through a preferential love for the poor; simplicity of lifestyle; and an openness and flexibility towards life. This enables us to respond to the needs of the world – especially those which promote greater justice.
We strive to respond daily to Christ’s invitation to love and serve him in the home, at work, in the parish, and in the local community.
